FAQ

How Do Assessments and Exams Work?

Assessments and exams form an important part of each learner’s academic progress at Gen Z Cyber Academy.

For Grade 1–9, assessments are planned according to the Department of Education ATPs and the CAPS curriculum.

These assessments help track whether learners are progressing according to the expected standard for their grade.

For Grade 10–12, assessments and examinations are aligned with the SACAI ATPs and SACAI assessment requirements.

This ensures that FET learners are prepared for the National Senior Certificate pathway.

Learners complete regular tasks, assignments, tests and examinations throughout the year.

These results help teachers identify areas where learners need support and also form part of the learner’s academic record.

All assessments and examinations are completed online, except for Grade 12 final examinations, which are written at a SACAI-registered examination centre.

For Grade 9–12 examinations, learners are required to use the invigilator app to support exam integrity.

For the lower grades, teachers invigilate learners during scheduled assessments and examinations where required.

Learners are expected to follow assessment instructions carefully, complete their own work, submit tasks on time and attend all scheduled tests and exams.
